Dr Eric Mazur, Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Harvard University and Area Dean of Applied Physics
Turning Technologies is a global leader in interactive response technology to enhance learning in the higher education market. To meet growing international demand, they have opened offices in Amsterdam, Belfast, Hong Kong, Mexico City and Paris, and deliver some of their products to over 100 countries.
What they wanted us to do
Turning Technologies asked Livewire to create a brand advocacy programme to raise their profile among the worldwide community of key education figures.
How we did it
Livewire has an enormous amount of experience in creating highly effective PR campaigns for companies and organisations in the education sector. We drew on this know-how to create and develop a Distinguished Educator Programme – a global community of education leaders recognised for their fresh and innovative use of interactive response technology to improve learning.
As part of the programme, we sourced key candidates including:
- Dr Eric Mazur, Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Harvard University and Area Dean of Applied Physics, also, creator of the just-in-time teaching methodology
- Dr Christopher Wiley, National Teaching Fellow, Senior Lecturer and Director of Learning and Teaching, University of Surrey – for sharing best practice, pedagogical applications and his own experience as a music lecturer using Turning Technologies’ response technology, with the company’s growing community of users in the UK and Europe
What we achieved for them
Our brand advocacy programme significantly enhanced the profile of Turning Technologies by associating them with thought leaders in the global education community. Our campaign also widened their exposure and opportunities in the media, increased the peer-to-peer dialogue they engaged in, and brought them valuable third party referrals and endorsements.
Working with Livewire PR is like having a professional PR guru as part of our team. Their staff promote the interests of Turning Technologies with enthusiasm, creativity and passion.
