Great news to start the year! We’ve just scooped a Gold award from the Chartered Institute for Public Relations in recognition of the outstanding national and regional coverage we achieved for our client findaschool by 192.com.
Our win was for running the Best Education Communications Campaign and promoting a ‘must-have’ free guide to UK school admissions.
Designed to help families make informed decisions about their children’s education – a feat not even the Department for Education attempted – the guide proved to be an instant winner!
We not only met all the objectives set by our client, we also met and exceeded the KPIs agreed. Our objectives were:
- To launch findaschool, 192.com’s schools data site, ahead of the primary schools admissions deadline of 15th Jan 2016, to establish it as ‘the go to source’ for information on schools, to secure extensive media coverage and drive up hits to the site.
- To help inform parents about important local information on schools – results, Ofsted ratings, catchment areas, sibling policies – to secure extensive media coverage and drive up hits to the site.
- To highlight in the media the complexity of the school admissions process and the plight of parents struggling to secure good school places, to fix public attention and prompt the government into taking action to simplify the schools’ admissions process and reduce the bureaucracy surrounding it.
Using a winning combination of creativity, research, strong news angles, humorous and shocking illustrations – all timed to perfection – findaschool majored as the top story of the day across all national and regional broadcast media and papers. The coverage drove up hits to the findaschool web site by 1122% and prompted government action when the then Minister of State for Education Nicky Morgan confirmed her commitment to removing the bureaucracy that surrounded the school admissions process.
This is the 10th significant award we have won in the past 11 years. We’d love to help you achieve this type of media profile! We can offer much more too. Please do give us a call on +44 (0)208 339 7440.
