iansyst’s Technology stand (A70) will feature the latest computer and mobile technology for post-16 disabled students and needs assessors working in higher education. Visitors will also see the brand new version of the CapturaTalk software for Windows mobile phones. Designed to help dyslexic individuals, CapturaTalk Version 2 offers a unique portable solution to recognise text and numbers from a photograph taken on the phone or digital document. CapturaTalk v2 enables text-to-speech for Pocket Word, Notes and tasks, SMS, e-mail and pocket internet explorer applications. The new version is now fully integrated with the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, so users can highlight a word and listen to the dictionary definition read back to them. The new highlighting tool also helps to reinforce word recognition and learning for dyslexic students.

The software runs on Windows Mobile 5 & 6 touchscreen devices .CapturaTalk runs in the background and is always available from the main taskbar for easy access. Improved file management now allows the user to easily rename, group and manage photographs. CapturaTalk will run without a SIM card so it is also a perfect solution for education organisations operating no mobile phone policies. Many of these products have been designed to help dyslexic learners achieve their full potential. The new 'dyslexic.com' 2009 Buyers Guide featuring an extensive range of software and articles will also be available for collection.

On iansyst’s software stand teachers and education professionals will be able see demonstrations of the latest primary school phonics software and resource pack called ‘Wordsmart’, as well as the popular Nessy Learning software providing secondary school students with a literacy program including exercises and teachers resource sheets.

Visitors can also see the latest version of Audio Notetaker software. Short-listed for a BETT award in 2008, the newly optimised Audio Notetaker v2 now includes live note taking resources which allow users to input notes straight from their laptop, during a lecture or business meeting while recording. It also allows the user to import, display and store PowerPoint and Word documents alongside their Audio notes. These new features take the ability of Audio Notetaker to a whole new level of interoperability and provide the user with all they need for note taking in one facility.
