CTI Group has been named as a finalist in the ISV category for The European IT Excellence Awards for the installation of its eBilling with Analytics solution Orange Billing Manager for Orange UK.
The awards recognise best practices in customer solutions by IT providers across Europe that encourage partnerships and relationships across IT, convergence and Internet industries. They are not just focused on how good the supplier's products are but about all aspects of support.
The solution proposed was an online ebilling solution, hosted by CTI Group, giving a clear view of telecoms activity to Orange corporate & SME customers 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Orange Billing Manager gives transparency of their bill by enabling end users to better understand their monthly telecoms spend, and allocate the costs to the relevant department or cost centre. Data can then be exported to the company accounts package.
As well as helping to win new customers and retain existing business, the main benefit obtained is that it provides Orange customers with a best-in-class ebilling experience. The solution is extremely intuitive, enabling the end user to rapidly become self sufficient in obtaining the billing information they require at any time.
A recent addition to the product is for the end user company to enable phone users to “tag” personal calls. Employees can then be recharged for the cost at the end of the month, thereby reducing the overall telecoms cost to the company. This also means that members of staff get the use of a company phone for personal use and only pay the cost of the calls not the phone.
The solution is designed to be easily upgradeable, enabling new services to be implemented quickly in order to maximise revenue. Andy Wilson, VP of Sales & Marketing International at CTI Group views this as crucial. “A rapid deployment of a new service is essential if service providers are to keep ahead of the game. New services are being demanded all the time by technology savvy business clients who expect value for money to continually improve.”
Although many features of the solution are generic and available to all purchasers, each telecoms carrier has its own view as to what is required for its customers so it requires a certain amount of customisation.
