Prime Principle has fought off stiff competition to be named the Nottingham Evening Post’s Small Business of the Year for the second time. The company’s product, Classroom Monitor is an online interactive markbook that has been developed and commercialised to meet teachers’ assessment requirements: by streamlining the reporting process it allows teachers to spend less time on paperwork and more time in the classroom teaching. Currently used by over 15,000 teachers in over 1,500 schools and nurseries, Classroom Monitor hosts and manages data for approximately 185,000 students across the UK and internationally.
Judges were impressed by the company’s outstanding growth which has seen turnover grow to £1.2 million in the six years since it launched to market. Exceptional customer service has led to an 80% customer retention rate and the company successfully launched secondary and nursery versions earlier this year.
The prestigious award from Nottinghamshire’s best-known newspaper has established Classroom Monitor as a business leader in the region. As the top small business in Nottingham, Classroom Monitor’s success continues to support the local economy, creating jobs and bringing revenue to the Nottinghamshire area helping to drive forward the its reputation as a hub for innovative business.
