The STM 3xx family of wireless energy harvesting sensors developed by EnOcean GmbH and now available from Alpha Micro feature energy harvesting interfaces for the implementation of self-powered products. The minimal standby power consumption makes it especially suitable for energy harvesting wireless solutions such as bi-directional temperature sensors, sensors in building management and innovative actuators. EnOcean is the originator of patented self-powered wireless technology which gathers energy from kinetic, thermal or solar sources found in any industrial or building complex – the energy generated from the push of a light switch or a difference in temperature emitted from a machine or radiator is enough to power the transmission of wireless signals.
