Richenda Wood
Headhunted by Michael Freeman Products, a contributor to the educational journal, Richenda then spent two years in industry as a Marketing Manager, broadening her understanding of the marketing function and heading up a team responsible for public relations, advertising, marketing collateral and event management. Commercial awareness of how marketing can be used to pave the way for growing sales was one of the key benefits of this role. Keen to further develop her knowledge
of public relations, Richenda then moved to Garnett Keeler Public
Relations where her forte for communicating complex technical
and educational issues became evident. After the 'big agency'
experience, Richenda set up her own consultancy, Livewire Public
Relations in 1990 focusing on personalised service, strategic
thinking and measurement - central to the healthy development
of the consultancy that prospered during the recession of the
1990s and continues to grow year on year.
